Respectable Dutch collector Mr Henk B. Nieuwenhuys donated his family collection of antique Chinese porcelain dating back to Ming and Qing dynasties, built by three generations, to the Shanghai Museum few years ago. Why his generosity takes over his wishes to pass on this legacy to the next generation? What inspires him to make this donation? He will share the history of the collection and his reasons behind this donation in this talk. Mr Nieuwenhuys will also share his views on art and antique collection as an experienced collector.

This talk is led by Mr Colin Sheaf, Chairman of Bonhams Asia and an avid collector himself. He will lead the talk and share his views and experience as an auctioneer. When it comes to collecting and having a large collection, every collector will experience at one point how to improve the collection management and protection. Joining this talk is Mr Khadinn Khan, Art Expert from AXA ART Asia to share his experience and expertise in this insightful collectors’ talk.
